April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Child abuse prevention starts with giving parents the support they need, so they can help their children be safe, happy, and healthy. We can ALL play a role in making sure that every child grows up feeling safe and loved.
How you can help support happy childhoods and healthy families:

1. Advocate to local officials about the importance of in-home parenting education programs to improve childhood outcomes and prevent child abuse.
2. Participate in children’s lives. The more caring adults in a child’s life, the better their chances for future success.
3. Enroll in parenting education programs. We offer programs that build upon families’ strengths so parents can help children thrive.
4. Donate to Parenting Matters. Donations are necessary to fulfill our mission to strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect in at-risk families in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Click here to make a tax-deductible donation.
