Stephanie Hernandez-Toro is the heart and energy behind Parenting Matters’ beloved Musical Motion program. As Musical Motion Coordinator, Stephanie brings music, movement, and connection to families each week—creating a joyful space where children learn through play and caregivers grow in confidence and community.
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Florida, Stephanie first followed a sweet path—earning her certification in baking and pastry arts with dreams of becoming a Disney pastry chef. After honing her skills at one of Florida’s top bakeries and designing show-stopping wedding cakes, life took a new turn. Her passion for the medical field led her to study surgical technology, but a complicated pregnancy with her daughter shifted her priorities. Stephanie found herself on a different—and more meaningful—path.
As a new mom, she discovered a love for working with children and was introduced to Musical Motion as a participant. Instantly hooked, she asked how she could get involved. What began as a part-time role blossomed into a full-time passion. Over the past 7 years, Stephanie has grown from a quiet assistant to a confident classroom leader—bringing warmth, fun, and music to hundreds of local families.
Whether she’s leading a class, crafting materials, helping with event planning, or offering support behind the scenes, Stephanie’s joy is infectious. A proud mom of two, Disney fanatic, and crafty creator, she’s grateful to be living out a purpose she didn’t plan—but one she knows was meant to be.
