Parenting Educator, Wendy Rudd is joining us this week to discuss highly sensitive children, a common personality trait that occurs in 15-20% of children. She shares characteristics, such as cautiousness, emotionally reactive, and empathetic, and how to help these children feel understood. While parenting highly sensitive children can be challenging, with validation and support, these kids can grow into intuitive, compassionate friends, and self-aware adults.
Wendy’s Mission Moment recounts a mother who had been struggling to get her own parents to understand their grandchild’s highly sensitive nature. Wendy was able to help her articulate the issue in a way that helped her, her parents and her child.
