
Kelly Benford is the Program Director at Parenting Matters and a Certified Family Life Educator accredited through the National Council on Family Relations. With a Bachelor of Arts in Education and over two decades of experience working with children and families, Kelly brings a deep understanding of family systems, trauma-informed care, and teaching strategies to her leadership role.
Kelly’s career has spanned classroom teaching, small business ownership, and parenting education. She joined Parenting Matters in 2014 as a Parenting Educator and became Program Director in 2019. In this role, she oversees all program operations and staff, ensuring high standards of service delivery and continuous improvement across the organization.
She helped develop the Chosen Families program, expanded Musical Motion classes, and has presented both locally and nationally on adoption, parent engagement, and child development.
Kelly is known for cultivating a team culture rooted in support, respect, and impact. She invests in staff development and builds strong connections that foster collaboration and meaningful outcomes for families. Her passion for helping families thrive continues to guide her work and inspire those around her.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys watching football with her husband and three sons, traveling, hosting parties, and doing Pilates.
