Finding Joy and Connection Through Musical Motion

At Parenting Matters, we know families thrive when children and caregivers can learn, grow, and connect in supportive environments. Our Musical Motion program creates that space—where music and movement spark joy, build confidence, and strengthen family bonds.

This month, we’re spotlighting two parents who shared how Musical Motion has impacted their families.

Grace, a longtime participant, reflected on the journey of both of her children:

“We started with my daughter and now I’m excited to work with my son here. He’s been able to start counting in English, Spanish, and Hindi. Our family is really enjoying this and we’ll continue to come. The teachers, Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Elizabeth, have been great.”

Laís, new to the program, immediately felt welcomed:

“We absolutely love it. My two boys had so much fun, and I even invited my neighbors to join us. Everyone here is so caring and welcoming. We feel very comfortable, and we are going to continue to come.”

Whether families are discovering Musical Motion for the first time or growing with us year after year, the program offers more than just music—it’s a place to build community, celebrate diversity, and nurture each child’s unique journey.
