
Katie Becker brings more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience to her role as Executive Director of Parenting Matters, where she has served since May 2022. A dynamic and intuitive leader, Katie is known for her ability to guide teams with grace, grow impactful partnerships, and deliver results that strengthen families across Manatee and Sarasota Counties.
Before stepping into her current role, Katie was a long-time supporter and Board Member of Parenting Matters, contributing her expertise and deep commitment to the organization’s mission. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and has spent the majority of her professional life serving community-focused organizations, including the YMCA and United Way Suncoast. During her eight years at United Way, Katie managed key corporate relationships, developed major fundraising campaigns, and mobilized volunteers to advance systemic change. Her leadership was instrumental in building trust and momentum among partners and donors alike.
Katie’s strategic focus at Parenting Matters has led to the expansion of key programs, such as the Parent Partner Program. Under her leadership, the organization continues to empower parents, support early childhood development, and break cycles of trauma through education and compassionate support.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Katie has called Florida home for more than 15 years. She is proud to work in the community where she lives and raises her family. Outside of work, Katie enjoys being active outdoors, making art, and spending quality time with her family and pets. Whether she’s hosting a community event or sharing stories from the Director’s Corner blog, Katie leads with authenticity, creativity, and a deep belief that every parent deserves support on their journey.
