Celebrating a Year of Impact: Parenting Matters in 2024
As we step into 2025, we reflect on a year filled with challenges, growth, and incredible achievements. Parenting Matters continued its mission to empower families, strengthen communities, and ensure brighter futures for children. Thanks to the dedication of our team, volunteers, and supporters like you, 2024 became a year of significant impact and unforgettable milestones.
Throughout the year, Parenting Matters offered critical support to families, ensuring they had access to resources and education that build resilience and foster healthy relationships. From hands-on workshops to in-home education, we met families where they were and provided the tools they needed to thrive.
When the hurricane season brought devastation to our community, Parenting Matters was able to help provide immediate relief and long-term support to the families we serve through contributions from our local community foundations. And, by collaborating with local partners, we helped families navigate recovery by connecting them with essential community resources. Our community came together with strength and unity.
In November, we hosted our 8th annual Sangarita Showdown, an event that not only raised record-breaking funds but also celebrated the resilience and generosity of our supporters. The energy and enthusiasm at this event reflected the deep commitment of our community to uplifting families and ensuring children’s success.
The year ended on a heartwarming note with our Holiday Gift Program in December, which spread joy and brought smiles to countless children. This initiative reminded us of the power of coming together to make the holidays brighter for families in need.
